WSBI builds momentum by recruiting businesses to Winston-Salem and Forsyth County, North Carolina. With only three full-time economic development professionals on staff and an active board of directors, WSBI’s efforts have resulted in more than $1.7 billion in new tax base and over 16,000 new jobs.
Founded in 1987, WSBI is the only local economic development agency that conducts external marketing and public relations campaigns promoting Winston-Salem and Forsyth County as an ideal place for business relocation and expansion. The group was formed with the specific mission of attracting new businesses in order to build on the area’s economic growth.
