Whitaker Park Development Authority is currently working on developing a master plan for the re-development of Whitaker Park. There are a number of key components to this strategy that are being explored. The re-development plan is designed to be a guide, but WPDA wants to maintain the flexibility to change the plans based on timing, market opportunity and business interest.
Whitaker Park offers WPDA a number of exciting opportunities. There are a number of existing buildings that will be available for uses ranging from light manufacturing to residential to R&D. In addition to the re-use of the existing buildings, vacant property will be available for speculative and build-to-suit opportunities. Design estimates prepared for WPDA indicate that in excess of two (2) million square feet of new space can be built out on developable land.
